From Wednesday August 10, several French pharmacies will be able to vaccinate against monkey pox. This is just an experiment. Explanations.

In France, an experiment to fight against monkey pox is going to be set up. From Wednesday August 10, five pharmacies scattered in several French cities will be authorized to vaccinate. Injections may be offered to those most at risk. If the test is conclusive, within 15 days, other pharmacies should follow. “It will be a question of evaluating if there is no loss of doses”said the Minister of Health, François Braun.

In which cities will it be possible to get vaccinated in pharmacies? Paris, Lille (Nord), Fréjus (Var) and Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) are concerned. These are pharmacies located close to a hospital and able to store vaccines at minus 80°C. To date, 2,400 cases of monkeypox have been identified in France and nearly 20,000 people have been vaccinated.
