(Montreal) 25e Outaouais Film Festival will welcome for its opening night the most recent film by Léa Pool, Hotel Silenceon April 4.
The film, adapted from the eponymous novel by Icelandic author Audur Ava Ólafsdóttir (2017), is a Canada-Swiss co-production that stars Sébastien Ricard, with Irène Jacob, Louise Turcot and Paul Ahmarani.
Léa Pool, who had not filmed since And at worst, we’ll get marriedreleased in 2017, had already premiered at the Outaouais Film Festival (FFO) Augustine’s passion in 2015.
Hotel Silencewhich should be released in theaters in Quebec a week before the FFO, on March 29, tells the story of the journey of a man (Ricard) who suffers at home from a malaise and who leaves for a country ravaged by war “to the encounter with himself.”
The program for the 25the Outaouais Film Festival will be unveiled on March 19.
The film Hotel Silence will have been entitled a little before the FFO to premieres with members of the team in Quebec on March 21, in Trois-Rivières on the 22, in Montreal on the 26 and in Sherbrooke on March 27.
