The man shot dead in his garage on Wednesday evening in LaSalle will have suffered the same fate as his two partners in a private loan case, including his own brother who was also murdered in 2018.

“When you do this kind of business, you don’t just make friends. I know that there were people who didn’t like his face”, confided to the Newspaper a police source who was well aware of the activities of Domenico Macri, 46.
At approximately 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, he was killed by at least one gunshot. He was then in his garage on rue Marie-Rollet. His family reportedly heard the gunshots from inside the house. Macri had two children.
Almost four years ago, on March 13, 2018, his brother Mario Macri, 44, was also shot in the commercial garage of their Plan B financing company, located at the corner of Newman and Lapierre.
According to a decision of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, the brothers had already had another partner, Jamie Laramée.
The 37-year-old man was shot at the same time as his brother Cody, in a bar on Newman Boulevard, in the summer of 2013. The police at the time linked the Laramée brothers to the Irish underworld.
The murders of the three partners thus occurred within a kilometer radius.
Mafia and illegal betting
According to our information, Macri, who seems to have been the target of a settling of accounts, had certain links with members of the Italian mafia of the Rizzuto clan and could have been involved in the illegal bet.
He was also close to Donald Matticks, of the western gang, we are told. The two were often seen together at the Brasserie des Rapides, owned by Domenico Macri.
He had no criminal history. “He went under the radar because he stood apart,” said a police source.
Not surprising
Neighborhood residents were not surprised by his murder yesterday. They knew about his brother, and had seen his vehicle set on fire in front of his house some time ago.
“We already had a sample of that. We always expected something to happen, ”commented a neighbor who preferred to keep her name silent.
” It was predictable. It’s very, very sad. Especially for children,” said another neighborhood resident.
