On March 2, 2022, Nathalie Marquay experienced the greatest pain. That of losing the love of his life, Jean-Pierre Pernaut. The popular TF1 journalist died at the age of 71 from complications in the heart, which occurred while he was fighting against lung cancer. Since his disappearance, life has gone on with difficulty for his wife Nathalie Marquay, for whom the pain is still just as intense. From time to time, she pays him heartbreaking tributes, on social networks but also with great emotion on stage. This Friday, April 8, 2022, our former Miss France once again had every reason to salute the memory of her husband. And for good reason, it’s his birthday. Jean-Pierre Pernaut would have celebrated his 72nd birthday.
In story Instagram, Nathalie Marquay wasted no time in declaring all her love to him through a souvenir video of one of his previous birthdays. “Tough day today. My love Jean-Pierre, I’m sure you’re celebrating it with mom and your brother. I love you very much, I miss you so much“, she wrote in the comments. (See our slideshow).
Nathalie Marquay is not the only one to have expressed her lack on the Web. Their daughter Lou Pernaut (19) also wished her dad a happy birthday, his “guardian angel” and his “watching star“ on her as she likes to call it. “we miss you so much…i love you“, she writes in story in a radiant and moving photo of JPP taken during a vacation in the sun. Lou then shared a beautiful snap from her parents’ wedding.
And against all odds, the very discreet Olivier Pernaut also came out of his reserve. The journalist’s eldest son (born from his first marriage to Dominique Bonnet) posted a moving post on Instagram. The racing driver found a family photo, on which appears Jean-Pierre Pernaut blowing out his candles, with her grandson Leo on her knees. The TF1 presenter’s daughter, Julia, also appears in the photo, as well as Catherine Dupraz, Olivier’s companion. “Happy birthday, Dad. April 8, 1950“, he captioned.
