Murder linked to organized crime | Criminal lawyer accused of accessory after the fact

A criminal lawyer from the Montreal region, Me Noémi Tellier, must appear by videoconference Thursday afternoon, at the Joliette courthouse, to be charged with accessory after the fact, following a murder linked to organized crime.

Me Tellier, 35, a lawyer since 2012, was arrested by Crimes against the Person investigators from the Sûreté du Québec on Thursday morning at her residence in Longueuil.

Me Tellier is accused of having, “between May 7, 2019 and November 10, 2023, in Repentigny, district of Joliette, in Blainville, district of Terrebonne and other places in Quebec, been an accessory after the fact to the murder of Francis Turgeon , thus committing the criminal act provided for in section 240 of the Criminal Code,” indicates the arrest warrant obtained by The Press.

Joined by The PressM’s lawyere Tellier, Me Stéphanie Bisaillon-Auclaire declined to comment.

Incriminating video

The victim, Francis Turgeon, 33, is a drug trafficker who was allegedly eliminated for not paying royalties to a member of the Hells Angels.

Two individuals were arrested last November and charged with the premeditated murder of Turgeon, James Patrice Mardy, 33, and Kevin St-Pierre, 34. They are still awaiting trial.

Kevin St-Pierre, who has several criminal records, is the ex-spouse and father of M’s childe Noémi Tellier.

In 2021, investigators from the Longueuil agglomeration police department searched a residence in Saint-Amable on the South Shore, and arrested Kevin St-Pierre and Me Noémi Tellier, as part of an investigation into the broadcast, on social networks, of a filmed interrogation in which an individual offered to collaborate with the police.

Neither St-Pierre nor Me Tellier had not been charged in the case, but police found a firearm in a car belonging to a company numbered in the couple’s name, and St-Pierre was arrested and charged with breach of conditions, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm (a Hungarian-made FEG 37 m pistol) and occupation of a vehicle in which he knew there was a prohibited firearm.

In this case, St-Pierre was sentenced to three years in January 2023.

A week ago, Me Tellier pleaded guilty to impaired driving and was fined $2,000.
