MP LFI Danielle Simonnet returned the social housing she occupied

Danielle Simonnet had occupied this apartment since 2003. The deputy of La France insoumise and councilor of Paris has returned her Parisian social housing, revealed David Belliard, the president of the Régie immobilière de Paris (RIVP), Saturday, November 5, confirming information from the Parisian (paid item). The apartment, an 83 m2 with balcony, located in the 20th arrondissement of the capital, was rented for 1,300 euros per month.

It was awarded in 2003 to Danielle Simonnet, at the time councilor of the borough, less than a year after her request and without condition of resources. “It is not a classic HLM housing but an intermediate housing in free rent or PLI, intermediate rental loan, which escapes the overrent in the event of an increase in income”said David Belliard.

According to the Action Logement group, the leading social landlord, the PLIs are allocated “to people whose income is too high to be eligible for public housing, but too low to be housed in the private sector”.

“Danielle Simonnet followed the rules perfectly and she didn’t even have to leave. We allocate housing in PLI, but once people are in the housing, we can’t do anything, whatever the evolution their income”added David Belliard. Elected deputy in June, Danielle Simonnet receives today a parliamentary allowance of 7,493 euros gross.

The outgoing socialist deputy for Charente, Jérôme Lambert, elected continuously from 1997 to 2022, also left the intermediate social housing he occupied in the 18th arrondissement of the capital, also told AFP Eric Pliez, president of Paris Habitat, the leading social landlord in Paris, and mayor of the 20th arrondissement, also confirming information from Parisian.
