(Saint-Blaise-Sur-Richelieu) A motorist swerved on Tuesday afternoon in the municipality of Saint-Blaise-sur-Richelieu, in Montérégie. The driver of the vehicle is in critical condition in hospital.
The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Grand-Bernier Road. According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the driver, a septuagenarian, lost control of his vehicle and left the road.
The extrication pliers were necessary to be able to extricate the victim from his vehicle.
The man was transported to a hospital and there are currently fears for his life.
A collision reconstructionist went to the scene to analyze the scene.
