Monte Creek Living Land Cabernet Merlot British Columbia 2019 | Charming and unique discovery

British Columbia vineyards are immediately associated with the Okanagan Valley. With good reason: it represents more than 80% of the province’s vineyard.

But viticulture continues to develop. It has spread to several new regions, including Thompson Valley, around Kamloops, where Monte Creek is located.

For this cuvée, on the other hand (the Monte Creek Living Land Cabernet Merlot British Columbia 2019, 79% merlot and 21% cabernet franc), the grapes come from the Similkameen Valley and the South Okanagan. It offers a charming nose, with aromas of ripe red fruits. Notes of cedar, tobacco, cocoa and sweet spices bring complexity. The ripe fruit expresses itself with a caressing substance, carried by a fresh acidity and fine, silky tannins.

A very harmonious wine, but also unique, which will be interesting to taste blind. Grilled or braised red meats, veal liver, mushroom or beetroot risotto.

Monte Creek Living Land Cabernet Merlot British Columbia 2019, $25.65 (15110051), 13.8%
