The repression of fraud has identified a whole bunch of abusive practices and small tricks, such as the absence of televisions or homemade cooking which turns out to be industrial.
A room with a view garden which actually overlooks a parking lot, so-called homemade meals which are in fact industrial or services (hairdresser, psychomotor therapist) which are not actually offered. These are some practices misleading commercial from some nursing home private. This is the conclusion of the repression of fraud in a report published Thursday, October 20. Checks reveal “an anomaly rate always raised” because “more than one out of two establishments has at least one non-compliance”.
“Misleading promises can be in different places in the commercial speech. It can be on brochures, it can be during the presentation that can be made to customers who come to visit the potential future accommodation. All these commercial communications aimed at consumers, they must be fair”reports Remy Sloveniaspokesperson for the DGCCRF. A woman found false promises of sale in the establishment in the Paris region where her grandmother stayed for five years, until her death during the Covid-19 pandemic. The family had been seduced by the advertisements. She filed a complaint, believing that her grandmother was being mistreated and that the service did not meet expectations. Many families claim that the communication of nursing home that is more transparent and supervised, in particular on the number of caregivers per resident.
