March against anti-Semitism: “We are not invited to come and participate in this march,” says Abdelali Mamoun, imam of the great mosque of Paris

“Say no to a scourge”

For his part, Elijah Korchiapresident of the Central Consistory of France, regrets this absence: “I find that a distressing position. Now I understand the instructions that were given and followed. For my part, I think that there will be many friends of our country, French people whether they are Muslims, whether they are [athées] who will be there.” He adds : “This march against anti-Semitism is to say no to a scourge.“ Furthermore, Elijah Korchia reminds that it is not “the Jewish community who called for this march“, but “the president of the National Assembly” And “the president of the Senate“because it had to be said”no to this scourge (…), without banner and political recovery“.
