Like everyone else, Marc Lavoine has unfortunately experienced drama in his life. The 60-year-old singer and actor, who can be found this Thursday, October 20, 2022 in I3P (TF1) in the skin of Mathias Bernardt, notably had to face the death of his first wife.
It was in the 80s that Marc Lavoine met Denise Pascalean American model for whom he had a real thunderbolt. The two had met in California, during an audition for the series Paris-Saint-Lazare. “I had arrived early, Denise’s partner was late. So we rehearsed our roles together. We had to play a scene of great tenderness, a romantic encounter“, had confided the artist during an interview for Paris here. Reality joined fiction therefore since they got together and got married. From this union was born Simon Lavoine (36 years old).
Their divine idyll ended at the end of the 80s and thereafter, Marc Lavoine met Sarah Poniatowski, with whom he married in 1995 and had three children: Yasmine (in 1998), Roman (in 2007) and Milo (in 2010). A marriage that lasted twenty-three years, before ending in 2018. Despite their divorce and this new love story, Denise Pascale and him had kept a link, especially for their son Simon. They even saw each other regularly despite the distance that separated them (she was in the United States).
But an illness came into their lives and turned everything upside down. Denise Pascale died of cancer in December 2017, in San Francisco. Simon and his dad had of course gone there to say their goodbyes. “I cope with my loneliness, I had my mother dead before my eyes, the mother of my first child Simon left us“, he had declared to TV Star in June 2018. And in February 2020, during a filming of The Voice, program in which he officiated as a coach, he paid a vibrant tribute to the mother of his son. “I’m not going to get you the violins. Me, I have a son who is 33 years old who has our colors to both of us. He listens to the music you play. His mother listened to him too“, he threw tears in his eyes after the performance of a Talent.
