The circulation of RER, Transiliens and trams managed by SNCF will be “very seriously disturbed” Tuesday, May 21 due to a strike by Ile-de-France railway workers on the eve of a day of negotiations on the bonuses received during the Paris Games, the railway company announced on Sunday, May 19.

On the RER A, one train in two will run for the Cergy-Poissy branches. On the RER B, count one train in two on the northern part of the line, and two trains in three on its southern part. On the RER C, two out of five trains will run during rush hour and several stations will not be served. The RER D line will be one of the most affected with one train in five and only during peak hours. There will only be two trains out of five on the RER E, which will not run between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and will not serve many stations.

On the Transiliens side, one train in three will run on lines H, J, L, N and U. On line R, one train in five will run, only during peak hours, and no train will run between Montereau and Melun via Héricy. On line P, a replacement bus will be set up on the La Ferté-Milon and Crécy La Chapelle branch. As for trams, service will be normal on lines T12 and T13. On line T4, a tram will run every 15 minutes between Aulnay-Sous-Bois and Bondy, but no tram will run between Gargan and Montfermeil Hospital. On line T11, count on a tram every 20 minutes.

The Sud-Rail unions and the CGT-Cheminots are at the origin of this call for mobilization, joined in places by Unsa-Ferroviaire. Negotiations concerning the bonuses allocated to railway workers mobilized during the Paris Games are still underway at the SNCF and a conclusive meeting must take place on Wednesday. Conversely, at the RATP, negotiations ended on Monday and agents will receive on average a bonus of 1,000 euros gross, which could go up to 2,500 euros for particularly busy metro and RER drivers.
