As used to places as he is, Novak Djokovic was moved on Saturday by Hubert Hurkacz in the semifinals of the Masters 1000 at Paris-Bercy. But the world number one did not give in, after having conceded the first set (3-6). Annoyed, the Serbian then quickly set the record straight in the second with a scathing 6-0. What to get back on the right track before the last set much more hooked.

After leading 4-1, Djokovic saw Hurkacz come back to 4-4 before going for the tie-break. Under pressure, the Serbian finally held on to win the tie-break 7-5 and afford the last set (7-6). Djokovic thus opens the doors to a new final at Bercy, where he already holds the record for victories (5). He also made sure to finish the season in world number one for the seventh time in his career, a record.
