Lower North Shore | Investigation into the discovery of two bodies in a wooded area

(Natashquan) The bodies of two people were found Monday evening in a wooded area of ​​the Lower North Shore, in eastern Quebec.

Few details were available the day after this discovery, but the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) confirmed in the evening that these are the bodies of two men in their thirties.

A spokeswoman for the SQ, Marythé Bolduc, said Tuesday that there was no evidence that a third person was involved in the two deaths.

The bodies were found around 6:30 p.m. Monday near Route 138 in Natashquan, about 375 kilometers east of Sept-Îles.

The SQ believes that these are suspicious deaths. Police officers usually assigned to this type of investigation were called to the scene.

They were still on site late Tuesday evening to continue their analysis.
