Linkin Park introduces new singer and announces album

(Paris) The American rock group Linkin Park unveiled its new singer, Emily Armstrong, during a concert on Thursday evening and announced the upcoming release of an album, the first since the death of its leader Chester Bennington.

She also released a first single, The emptiness machinetaken from his next opus, From Zeroexpected on November 15.

In this piece, the alternation between angry guitars and calms still reflects the band’s signature which oscillates between rock and metal, now enhanced by the furious voice of Emily Armstrong, known as the singer of the hard rock band Dead Sara.

Active since the late 1990s before exploding in 2003 with the album Meteora – known for his popular songs Number Or Breaking the habit –, Linkin Park had not recorded a studio album for seven years since the death of its lead singer Chester Bennington at age 41 in July 2017.

An international tour is already planned, with six dates from September 16 to November 11.
