As a general rule, and as Mr. Legault has always done before, the leaders of political parties exercise their right to vote on polling day. This is an opportunity for them to encourage voters to go to the polls, by lending themselves to the exercise in front of the cameras.

But the CAQ leader has been insisting for several days already in his speeches on the importance of advance voting. He will meet activists and volunteers in Repentigny in the early afternoon and then go to the L’Assomption polling station.

Advance voting takes place on Sunday and Monday. Polling stations are open from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

It will also be possible to vote directly at the office of the returning officer in your riding on September 27, 28 and 29.

Turnout at advance polls has increased over the course of the election. It reached 17.9% in 2018 – against 11.8% ten years earlier.

Like the other four leaders of the main parties, François Legault will be on the set of Everybody talks about it Sunday night.
