Five mentions of excellence in design were awarded to the Duty during the 44e competition from the Society of News Design, two for his illustrations on paper and three for his digital creations.

The playful but scientific comparison of the performance of Olympic skier Alex Harvey and that of a journalist from the Duty illustrating the immense advantage of top athletes wins two honours. The prestigious international organization awards two prizes to this popular science work for the categories “Graphic Information Page — Sports” and “Special Topics — Beijing Olympics”.

The aesthetics of the paper newspaper Duty won two different awards.

The report on the hidden costs of Uber Eats dissected by our journalists and graphic designers fell in the eye of the jury, who awarded it a mention of excellence in the section of “information graphics”.

The Society of News Design also highlights the work of art director Claire Davat and illustrator Simon L’archevêque for the elegance of the page on false myths around spermatozoa in the “Inside pages” category.

The graphic quality of Duty thus finds itself alongside other media of international stature such as the New York TimesTHE Washington Post or Reuters, as well as Quebec and Canadian peers, such as The Globe and Mail or Radio Canada.
