Laurentians | Man rescued from body of water fights for his life

It was people who accompanied the 28-year-old individual who reported to emergency services that the man seemed in distress near the private lake on Road 6e rank in Sainte-Lucie-des-Laurentides, where the group was located.

“Initial information is that emergency services rescued a 28-year-old man who was in distress in a lake. The latter was taken to a hospital in critical condition and there are fears for his life,” said information officer Nicolas Scholtus, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

It seems that the individual did not know how to swim and that the latter was not wearing a life jacket, which the SQ could not immediately confirm.

An investigation by the Sûreté du Québec is underway.
