I didn’t want to become a compilation singer
On the set of TPMP Peoplethe companion of Jérôme Bellay explained the reason why she ended her career as a singer: “I did not want become a compilation singer. It was very happy, I sold 27 million records thanks to the public. I traveled everywhere, it was really prodigious. But, I wanted to know if I was able to climb the hill again otherwise. So, I decided to jump on the bandwagon to embark on an unlikely adventure and I confess to you, I had absolutely no idea if it was going to work. I was not legitimate, I came from the song. I dreamed of receiving personalities from all walks of life. I received personalities ranging from Simone Weil to Jean d’Ormesson via Vanessa Paradis.”
In 1999, Isabelle Morizet joined Europe 1 to carry out interviews with people personalities. She recalled that initially, her status as a journalist was not easy to assume as she confided: “At first they refused but finally, not very long after, the agents and the press officers made a little phone call realizing that my show was doing well and that, above all, I was trying to put some substance into it. because curiosity is a bad thing but it’s also my fuel and I’m really interested in people.”
Since 2012, Isabelle Morizet has presented a program on Europe 1 entitled There is only one life in life on Saturday and Sunday. “I’m really interested in people. I work alone. I try to prepare a bit like a play”she explained.
