“Oh the cow!”: François Cluzet taken aback by an old photo of him with Isabelle Adjani

François Cluzet was in great shape on Saturday evening when he came to the show What an era! co-hosted by Léa Salamé and Christophe Dechavanne. Present to defend Masquerade alongside his director Nicolas Bedos, the 67-year-old actor spoke of the passage of time, one of the themes of the film. He plays Simon, a gullible real estate agent and married man who falls under the spell of a sublime young woman, Margot (played by Marine Vacth), who ends up ripping him off.

Very animated by the debate launched on the set of What an era!, on the charisma and the sex appeal of Pierre Niney which make it possible to attract the spectators in room, François Cluzet is persuaded on it is the duos of actors – and well beyond in Masquerade – which make it possible to seduce. Although very pretty and talented, Marine Vacth would not have obtained the same fervor in the film without the presence of Pierre Niney. “Marine Vacth, just as Marine Vacth as she is, if she doesn’t face Pierre Niney, it doesn’t work“, he defended, asking Nicolas Bedos whether he was wrong or not in his analysis. Christophe Dechavanne concluded the discussion by saying that the casting of Masquerade is simply “unbelievable“.

I picked up but I don’t care. I lived and I continue to live

Masquerade signs the great reunion of François Cluzet with Isabelle Adjani. The two actors gave themselves, several decades ago, the reply in The killer summer by Jean Becker, also with Alain Souchon and Michel Galabru. The team of What an era! went back to the archives and brought out a photo from the film showing François Cluzet and Isabelle Adjani. Something to move the star of Intouchables, happy to dive back into his past, without the fear of seeing that he has aged.

Oh damn“, first reacted François Cluzet. “It picked up as my wife said. I picked up but I don’t care. I lived and I continue to live“, he concluded, serene for his life which still leaves him very good years ahead of him.

On the audience side, this new issue of What an era! attracted 1.183 million viewers, or 18.6% of the public. Another very nice score for the France 2 broadcast.
