In full promotion, the talented 36-year-old Swiss writer spoke with Purepeople. The opportunity for Joël Dicker to give us the keys to The Alaska Sanders Affair, which actually happens to be the second volume of a trilogy. The first being The Harry Quebert Affairand the third The Baltimore Bookpublished in 2015.
“I had this trilogy project from the start (…) I wanted to extend this adventure, I wanted it to last over 3 books (…) it was an important step for me to go after this desire and make this trilogy“, confirms the charming author.
Joël Dicker also denies being the same character as his now famous hero, Marcus Goldman: “There are elements of me in Marcus, but just like in the characters of Perry and Alaska (…) these are characters that necessarily come from me“. Married, the writer nevertheless sweeps away any parallel between his sentimental life and that, more disjointed, of his hero.
