It was around 11 p.m. Saturday that police officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) saw a three-wheeled motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction on Highway 40 West in the Portneuf sector.
After a race of about thirty kilometers, the vehicle was intercepted near Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures. The driver, a 60-year-old woman, was arrested and taken to the police station where she failed a breath test, said Nicolas Scholtus, spokesman for the SQ.
The woman was released on a summons. She could face impaired driving charges and her driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days.
