On Sunday, November 19, several thousand people marched peacefully in Paris during a march for peace in the Middle East. Many artists were present.

No slogan, white banners, and actresses at the head of the procession. “It’s a white, neutral march, which does not mean disengaged at all”, says Isabelle Adjani, present during the march for peace in the Middle East, organized on Sunday November 19 in Paris. The route of the procession was symbolic, starting from the Institute of the Arab World to the Museum of the Art and History of Judaism.

An atypical manifestation

This demonstration was atypical and silent. Since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas, artists have been rare to take a stand. “We are here to express our empathy towards the victims”, indicates Philippe Geluck. The procession of several thousand people, made up of many celebrities but also anonymous people, paraded peacefully.
