The super moon, known as the “super deer moon” dazzled tourists in Nice on the evening of Monday July 3.
In Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), the Moon was in dazzling colors and with immense contours, Monday evening July 3. The Super Moon, known as the “Super Deer Moon”, dazzled the tourists of Nice last night. “Oh, it’s beautiful, it’s a wonderful Moon tonight, it’s very beautiful”says a woman. “I just came for a walk and the Moon is very beautiful, I’m enjoying the show”, says a tourist. Illuminating a busy Promenade des Anglais, this supermoon owes its name to the Native Americans : it occurs during the growth period of deer antlers.
Moon closer to Earth by 20,000 kilometers
A gigantic Moon, due to an optical illusion. It is still closer to the Earth by 20,000 kilometers. “Pretty close to us, yeah, a little bigger than usual, with nice colors”, rejoices a young man. More Super Moons are planned for this summer. The next should be even bigger: it will take place on 1er august.
