At 61, and after nearly forty years of career, the singer-guitarist released his seventh album, “Radio London”. He pays homage to his father Franck Bauer, speaker of Radio London.
The story of this record begins in the 1940s. “The French talk to the French”announced on the BBC the voices of young speakers, one of whom was called… Franck Bauer, Axel Bauer’s father. “My father had 1,000 lives”, says Axel Bauer. Nine years after his last album, he wanted to pay a special tribute to his father. “My father didn’t talk about the war. He didn’t live in the past. When he became the last living Radio London announcer, he started to open up and I discovered a lot of things then”.
“More and more, I like to sing because I like what I sing too. It’s closer to me”, says the songwriter. In this album, Axel Bauer also talks about love, loves that are torn apart, that are born. His seventh studio album was released on Friday May 13.
