Florent Pagny has good news to share. While at the start of the year, the 60-year-old singer announced that he was with inoperable lung cancer, he seems to be on the road to recovery. Thanks to chemotherapy sessions to which he committed and which made him lose his hair, Florent Pagny manages to keep in shape and is hopeful of a full recovery. After posting a video himself to give his news on Instagram, the artist gave a long interview to the magazine Galato be published Thursday, May 12, 2022 but an extract of which has already been unveiled on the site of our colleagues.
It was with Nikos Aliagas that he spoke and to whom he gave reassuring details. “The latest news I have from inside, if I can put it that way, is that the tumor has shrunkthe size of a good kiwi, I switched to a hazelnut after two chemos“, he announced. The treatment therefore proved to be more positive than ever for the coach of The Voice who has always remained optimistic about the situation: “I tried not to ask myself too many questions because the answers can destroy you. You can’t let yourself slip into sadness either or an anxiety that you can’t control“.
This cancer woke me up
Florent Pagny is now ready to turn this bad page and is eager to be able to resume the normal course of his life to devote himself only to the essentials. “Now I’m coming out of the tunnel. (…) This cancer kind of woke me up, and he redefined my priorities“, he confided. At the sixth chemo, he assures us that it will be the last. This fight, Florent Pagny did not lead it alone. He was always able to count on the precious support of his family, including his wife. Azucena and their two children Aël (who photographed her for this new issue of Gala) and Inca. “They are there, and we put it all into perspective as a family. We don’t want to get caught up in the drama. With us, we tell ourselves that there will always be solutions since there is a problem!“, he played down.
If he intends of course to devote himself to his entourage, Florent Pagny also plans to resume his career where he left off. “As long as my voice is there, I am here! I won’t give up!“, he promised.
