The Haute-Garonne firefighters carried out an unusual operation this Thursday, July 14, 2022. They went to save a llama in Odars, south of Toulouse, near Escalquens. The animal was at the bottom of a ditch, stuck. The firefighters intervened around noon and managed to raise the llama, which was not injured, thanks to the help of a specialized team and a veterinarian. The llama most certainly belonged to the educational farm of the Château de Bergues.
The day before, Wednesday July 13, firefighters had already intervened at the Plaisance-du-Touch zoo to successfully save several animals from a fire.
