Rhodes, in Greece, is a very popular destination for tourists, but this fire could now upset the organization of holidays for some of them. Some airlines have nevertheless chosen to maintain the connections.

Will it still be possible to spend your holidays in Rhodes, Greece, in the coming days? This is the question asked by the French who were planning to fly to the Aegean island. Brigitte Habib, who had planned to leave with her husband and three children on August 14, is currently in uncertainty. “If the fires go up, I think we’ll cancel. I wouldn’t take the risk of finding myself there with the fires and the situation. It wouldn’t be a vacation for us to find ourselves with a ball in our stomachs”testifies the mother of the family.

Suspended flights

In travel agencies, the situation in Greece is being followed very closely. On Sunday July 23, the world number one in tourism TUI decided to suspend its flights. Other companies, such as Air France or Transavia, on the other hand, maintain their connections. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs invites tourists to postpone their stay.
