The prosecutor of the Italian Football Federation has requested four years of suspension against the French international player Paul Pogba, the sports management of Radio France learned from a source close to his club, Juventus Turin, confirming information from the Gazzetta dello Sport this Thursday.
The Frenchman, aged 30, was provisionally suspended on September 11 after having tested positive for testosterone. The check was carried out on August 20 after the match between Udine and Juventus, counting for the first day of the Italian championship.
Contacted by the sports management, his lawyer and agent Rafaela Pimenta declined to comment. It is the national anti-doping court which will decide whether or not to apply the four years required by the prosecutor.
