He celebrates his 40-year career. The pop dandy was even entitled to the honors of the Academy which yesterday awarded him the great medal of French song. Etienne Daho has always preferred discretion. A romanticism and a timidity that have become legendary, like a signature that will be revealed in 1981 with a first album, “Mythomane”.

It’s not the problem of getting older, it’s the problem of improving.” he declared. Not a visionary, yet. Because the boy, shy, become Pope of pop, fed on multiple influences to last.
It all started in Rennes at the start of the 1980s. A young singer tiptoes into the Transmusicales festival. The man is reserved, so for him success is a shock. “I am passionate about music, it is a real vocation, but I did not know that it was necessary to show oneself”, he smiles.
