eight people indicted for the theft of 80 cars

eight malefactors, all in their forties, were arrested and charged with the theft of 80 vehicles. They are all known to the police.

The procedure was simple. After location, they targeted two-wheelers and passenger cars. the brand of the PSA group (Peugeot, Citroën, or even Opel) only.

Computing as an aid to flying

They were using the mouse jacking technique : the hacking of car key waves with computer equipment. They managed, in this way, to enter the vehicle without breaking into it.

Once inside, they started it thanks to theuse of a computer. They could then calmly leave with the stolen vehicle.

Resold or dismantled vehicles

The two-wheelers were then exported to Africa. The cars were boned. Spare parts were exported to Poland.

During the searches carried out in January, the police seized four stolen vehicles, weapons, 24,450 euros in cash, jewelry and drugs.
