Olivier, groom, takes care of and cares for the horses with attention. It is essential for the well-being of the animal and prepares it for competitions or galas.

Olivier, groom, prepares a horse from 7 a.m. He untangles the animal’s hair, cleans it with five different brushes and installs the seal, bridle and reins. Each animal is pampered for more than a quarter of an hour. Every day, two uniformed squires come to train the animals prepared by Olivier Prévost for galas and competitions.

An ancestral know-how

The whole relationship we can have with the trainer is extremely complicit because it is he who will give us all the information before riding or taking care of the horse.“, explains a squire. A former competitive rider, the groom must take care of six to eight horses every day, checking the smallest detail. Assisted by the farrier, with techniques and gestures dating back several centuries, he takes care of horses.”For me it is important to continue, to pass on this know-how“, indicates the groom.
