Marie Toussaint, head of the Ecologist list in the European elections, was the guest of “4 Vérités” on France 2, Wednesday May 15.

Marie Toussaint advocates massive investment in renewable energies. The head of the Green list in the European elections also wants to make “health the new compass of public policies”. “Rather than chasing growth and locking ourselves into austerity, we must look at how people and ecosystems are doing, because there is a very established link between the health of nature and our health”, she explained in “4 Vérités” on France 2, Wednesday May 15. The Green candidate wishes “a European medicines service” and wants “fight against the civilization of toxic people (…) which brings about a major health disaster”.

According to the latest Figaro poll, Jordan Bardella (National Rally) is still at the top of voting intentions with 32.5%, ahead of Valérie Hayer (Renaissance, 17%) and Raphaël Glucksmann (Place Publique, 14%). Is the head of the Socialist Party list ultimately the useful vote on the left? “No, the only useful vote is the environmentalist vote”replied Marie Toussaint, who has 6% voting intentions. “Socialists in the European Parliament vote for austerity, mega-trucks and the environmental unraveling of the CAP”she said.
