The objectives of the group: publicize women’s mountaineering practices, encourage other women to practice mountaineering and promote women’s mountaineering.
Content of the activities carried out during the training: mountaineering, ice climbing and ski touring.

the GFHM exists since 2010, with each time promotions made up of 8 women for 2 years. For the 6th promo, there were 130 applications in 2021, first selected on file then a third of the contenders were invited for field tests in Haute-Savoie, before the announcement of the 8 selected. They are all between 28 and 35 years old.
The group does not want to be elitist: the idea is to select women who already have experience in the mountains and are independent in easy races. The objective is that they gain autonomy during the 2 years and can if they want to pass the “mountaineering initiator” diploma to supervise in their respective clubs.

The next selection will take place in May 2023 to select a new group of 8 girls.
