An annual event that TF1 viewers did not miss. Saturday December 16, 2023, more than seven million people were in front of their television sets to witness the coronation of the sublime Ève Gilles. Indeed, at the end of the evening, It was ultimately Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais who left with the coveted crown and sash.
A ceremony during which around forty former Miss France were present at the Zénith in Dijon. The reason ? The latter took the stage during the evening to pay tribute to the former director of the committee Geneviève de Fontenay
died in August 2023.
A moving sequence during which all the former beauty queens appeared on stage holding hands… Only, while they were all dressed in a white shirt and black suit pants, a former Miss France did not respect the dress code.
Sylvie Tellier, president of the jury for this 77th edition of the Miss France competition, wore a black and white evening dress. A difference that did not escape viewers… And the least we can say is that they did not fail to point it out to the main interested party.

Sylvie Tellier responds to the surge of hatred
“Very disappointed with your behavior at the homage to Geneviève de Fontenay, you had to remain seated Madame”, “Nothing obliged you to pay homage to Madame De Fontenay! You would have done better to abstain because you stood out from the rest misses”, or : “You claim to support Cindy (Fabre) in her new role, but you are only crushing her with your seniority and popularity acquired in this same position. As for your tribute to Geneviève, it is a failure. We would have liked to see you respected the outfit that all the misses wore, too, a smile wouldn’t have killed you”, can we read on Instagram. One last comment to which Sylvie Tellier wished to respond.
“VS’is your opinion, I respect it, but I do not share it. I was invited to chair the jury and I accepted it with pleasure. I wanted to wear a dress for this event and my friend Nicolas agreed to create a black and white dress for me to participate in this tribute. Before being Miss France director, I was elected Miss France 2002 and I will come back to this program when the Miss family is reunited.”, she replied. Enough to definitely clear things up.
