While Christophe Beaugrand was waiting to know if Whitney – the surrogate mother – was pregnant, after multiple tests and medical procedures, the young journalist was sent to Las Vegas to meet Celine Dion. “I was the only French, and she likes to talk to the French, he explains. It was the last interview of the day, we talked a little bit after the interview, when the camera went off. She asked me how it was, what I was doing beautiful. And I started talking about that story. Celine Dion wished us good luck and gave her blessing to this unborn baby. She thought it was great. This trip was also, for Christophe Beaugrand, the opportunity to meet Whitney for the first time, since the latter lives in Las Vegas with her husband and two daughters. The rest, of course, we know.
