bus shelter advertising panels turned off at night in Strasbourg

An agreement has been reached between the Strasbourg Eurometropolis and JCDecaux
on billboards. As of October 29, 2022, these panels integrated into the bus shelters will be switched off between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. In summer, from the end of March, the extinction will take place from midnight to 6 am.

The Eurometropolis of Strasbourg and the city had turned to the advertiser to make energy savings.
The Strasbourg Eurometropolis calls for “responsibility of all the actors of the territory to make decisions in coherence with the strategy of energy sobriety.”

In front of the rising energy prices
, many French municipalities are taking measures to limit their consumption. Many of them are related to outdoor lighting
as in Mulhouse, but also heating in public buildings.

My France: Energy savings

Generalized increase in the cost of living, risk of shortage of electricity or gas, extreme climatic phenomena: these crises upset our daily lives, transform our lifestyles, push us to draw the contours of new horizons. To meet these challenges, France Bleu and Make.org are launching a major citizen consultation around energy savings. Take a stand on these solutions & propose your own!
