The Haras de Sens, in Beuvron-en-Auge, in Calvados, is a place that can be visited. On site, it is thus possible to admire the riders at a gallop.

They make you dream, but often keep their doors closed. The Normandy stud farms protect their treasures; famous racehorses, bred out of sight. In Beuvron-en-Auge (Calvados), only the Haras de Sens opens its doors. The master of the place, Philippe David, likes to count the champions trained on his land. the owner of the Manoir and the Haras de Sens also wishes to receive his guests himself.

Philippe David welcomes a couple of Canadians, delighted to discover this stud, which breeds French trotters. The foals, born last spring, are still with their mother, but they may have the qualities of future champions. For this, they must not be “step through”whether they are “straight”and “that they have an amplitude in the gesture”, describes Philippe David. At the stable, Pascal Malicky is in charge of training the horses. “It takes a lot of time. You have to train them, find the balance of the trotter”, explains the coach.
