(Sainte-Marie-De-Beauce) A collision between the drivers of an ATV and a car caused a serious injury, in Sainte-Marie, in the MRC of La Nouvelle-Beauce, Thursday afternoon.

The driver of the ATV with a trailer, an octogenarian, would have liked to cross the rang Saint-Étienne Sud. However, at the same time, a driver traveling north on the row hit the ATV, explains a spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, Hélène St-Pierre.
The octogenarian was seriously injured and transported to a hospital, where there are fears for his life.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
Rang Saint-Étienne Ouest was closed to traffic to allow investigators to determine the causes and circumstances of the collision.
