An investigation for “assault” was opened last February. A photographer then claimed to have been hit by the father of the American singer Taylor Swift. “Police were informed that a 71-year-old man year-old was accused of assaulting a 51-year-old man years at Neutral Bay Wharf”a ferry terminal in northern Sydney, “before leaving the premises”declared a police spokesperson.
The photographer, Ben McDonald, had learned from AFP that his alleged attacker was the pop star’s father. The investigation was finally concluded without“no additional police action” is necessary, police said in a statement Tuesday 26 March. The complainant declared that he had been “hit in the ribs” by Scott Swift near a Sydney pontoon where the star disembarked from a yacht. The alleged incident occurred when the singer had just given four sold-out concerts in Australia as part of his world tour Eras Tour.
