Auberge chez Lazare since 1874, a hen in the pot who knows the music

Chez Lazare in Arros-de-Nay, an address that stonemasons already knew in 1874, they came to drink a shot of red served by the great-grandmother of our guest Christophe Castagnet. The quarries have closed the grandmother, she had already started serving stews like duck with beans or veal blanquette and of course the hen-au-pot!

It is the father of our guest who made the reputation of this inn with the hen in the pot!

Christophe Castagnet reopened the Chez Lazare inn on June 11, 2021 and is bringing the famous family poule-au-pot up to date on the menu on Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime. Only on order for 30 euros the menu is as follows: broth, hen-au-pot Henri IV, crepes flambé. Chez Lazare enters the Guide du Routard and will open its 5 guest rooms in June 2022. The concerts will resume from the music festival, that is to say June 21, still outdoors. To know everything about the program and receive information, it’s here.
