The number of homeless people has doubled in France in ten years

Homeless people die very young: 46 years on average for women and 50 years for men, representing a life expectancy gap of more than 30 years with the general population. “That people die in the streets of Paris and other cities in France at an extremely low age, which is 49 years on average, because they have no home, is purely scandalous”declares Bérangère Grisoni, president of the collective Les Morts de la rue.

“In 2022, according to the Abbé-Pierre Foundation, more than 330,000 people were homeless in
France”, we can read in the report. This is twice as much as ten years ago.
