Going through the forest in search of porcini mushrooms heralds autumn. In Saint-Cirgues-en-Montagne (Ardèche), that day, the harvest turned out to be rather good. In a few hours, the basket fills up. Two friends came from Montélimar (Drôme) for the day. For a week, Serge Ollier has been spending his time in the woods. He even has his favorite corners. On the Ardèche mountain plateau, the first mushrooms appeared after the storms at the end of August.
Mushroom pickers follow one another at Patrice Ceyte, mushroom collector in Saint-Cirgues-en-Montagne. He buys porcini mushrooms and then resells them to wholesalers or restaurants. With the rains of the last few days, there could be a lot of mushrooms.
