An unprecedented and risky trip for FC Metz to Bergerac

For its entry into the French Cup, FC Metz will therefore perform a unique trip to Dordogne. The Garnets face, this Sunday, a National 2 club, Bergerac. The meeting will take place at the Gaston Simounet stadium, where the local rugby team usually play.

After its victory last Sunday in the league against FC Lorient (4-1), the club at the Croix de Lorraine, hopes to avoid the Perigord trap and continue the adventure in the Coupe de France.

Suspended bronn

For this Coupe de France match, FC Metz will be deprived of its Tunisian defender Dylan bronn, which is suspended.

Matthieu udol and Kevin N’Doram, the long-term wounded of the club at the Cross of Lorraine, are naturally absent.

Bergerac, leader of his group in N2

With eight wins and three draws, against only two defeats, Bergerac Périgord FC leads its group in National 2, the equivalent of the fourth division.

It is a formation, very solid behind, with only 9 goals conceded in the league.

In the Coupe de France this season, the Périgourdins have taken out the Stade Bordelais, Montluçon, La Rochelle, the Portuguese from Pau, and a Girondin club, Porte entre deux mers.

Manage my choices

In the past, Bergerac has managed a few nice shots in the Coupe de France : The amateur club eliminated Lens, then in L2, during the 2016-2017 season. Two seasons later, the proteges of President Christian Fauvel, released Niort, another club from L2. The Messins are therefore warned!

Bergerac Périgord-FC Metz, 32nd final of the Coupe de France, kick-off at 1:45 p.m. at the Gaston Simounet stadium, pre-match on France Bleu Lorraine with Thomas Jeangeorge and Julien Penot from 1:30 p.m.
