An American giant of hard discount, mass distribution, confirms its establishment in France. A new brand of the Costco group has opened in Seine-et-Marne, halfway between supermarket and wholesaler, all at reduced prices.

A supermarket that looks like a warehouse. 10,000 square meters of surface, twice the size of a conventional hypermarket. Here you can find everything: a piano for 15,000 euros, aperitif cakes, or even a teddy bear, XXL version. The American giant of low-cost mass distribution, Costco, is setting up its second store in France. This Saturday, December 4 at the opening, you had to work together to do your shopping.

But before buying, you must already pay a membership fee. An annual subscription of 36 euros to take advantage of good deals. Unbeatable prices. “A Costco is the size of a supermarket with the offer of a neighborhood mini-market”, summarizes Olivier Dauvers, consumer expert. “So obviously, it does something very productive, with large volumes per product which allows costs to be crushed”, he sums up.
