On the evening of Friday April 5, a car drove into a bar restaurant in the town of Etel, in Morbihan. 11 people were injured.
It was 9:40 p.m. on Friday, April 5, when, on foot, a vehicle deliberately drove onto the covered terrace of a restaurant. A passerby tries to intervene to stop the motorist, a 58-year-old man who flees before being arrested 15 kilometers later. On the terrace, 11 people were slightly injured.
A man described as aggressive
A day later, security barriers prevent them from approaching. Pieces of glass litter the floor. Witnesses to the accident, teenagers described an aggressive man who threatened to charge. The event was of rare violence in this town of 1,200 inhabitants. Morgane Ruello, waitress at a nearby restaurant, explains: “The boss refused to serve this gentleman, who did not appreciate it.” The victims hospitalized in Lorient (Morbihan) were able to return home on Saturday April 6. The motorist is still in custody at the Etel gendarmerie.
