Cher has 56 GPs per 100,000 inhabitants, making it a medical desert. For mobile consultations, a profile of inhabitants must be targeted. “These are mostly people elderly, people with long-term illness, and especially for monitoring chronic diseases”, explains Géraldine Servant, general practitioner. The county council is banking on roaming to reach as many people as possible. The municipalities that receive the cabinet are those more than 20 kilometers or 20 mins of a practitioner.
