After a trip to Martinique, Sébastien Lecornu, Minister of Overseas Territories, went to Martinique on Tuesday, November 30, to address the theme of health and economic problems on the island. Jean-Baptiste Marteau, journalist at France Télévisions follows the trip of the Minister.
The context is still tense in Martinique but the trade unionists of the country discussed respectfully with Sébastien Lecornu, Minister of Overseas, Tuesday, November 30. “Almost two hours between the two parties. Nothing to do with the few minutes of exchanges in Guadeloupe. Arrived loudly and in numbers, the union representatives were able to put about twenty subjects on the table”, explains Jean-Baptiste Marteau, journalist at France Televisions who follows the trip of the Minister.
Unsurprisingly, it was the topic of dear life that was put on the table from the start of the discussions. “Sébastien Lecornu insisted on ‘the elephant which is in the room’, the vaccination of caregivers. A new wave is announced and the minister warned the Martinicans. No concrete progress, but it was not there goal of this 24-hour trip. Now there is a basis for discussing“, adds the journalist from France Télévisions.
