An uncontrollable blaze ravaged the industrial area of ​​San Giuliano Milanese, near Milan (Italy). While a very dense smoke rises on the images, an explosion arises, then a second. Firefighters are trying as best they can to contain the fire, but the site is difficult to access. The fire broke out on Wednesday, September 7, around 10 a.m., in a factory that processes hazardous waste and used solvents.

“We heard an explosion and we immediately got out, we saw smoke so we got out“, testifies a woman. “We heard a huge noise. We thought it was an earthquake, because it made the ground move“, says another witness. According to the emergency services on site, six people were injured, one of whom is in serious condition. All are factory employees. Intensity of the fire poses a high environmental risk, particularly in terms of air quality.
