The divorce seems inevitable between the Canet-en-Roussillon football club (National 2) and its emblematic general manager. During a meeting on Monday, Jordi Delclos announced his intention to leave office. According to our information, it would be in particular disagree with the reorganization project of the club and the narrowing of its field of action.
Contacted by France Bleu Roussillon, Jordi Delclos does not wish to speak for the moment. The club’s management did not respond to our requests either. This departure comes as the National 2 championship has just restarted. At the end of the first three days, Canet RFC is 14th in the Group C standings (1 win, two losses).
Jordi Delclos joined the Canet club in 2017 as a player. This native of Perpignan became general manager in 2020. It was under his command that the club wrote one of the most beautiful pages in its history, with a tremendous epic in the Coupe de France in 2021. Winner of Marseille in the round of 16, Canet had reached the quarter-finals (2-1 defeat against Montpellier).
